"Come said the leaves to the wind one day,
Come o'er the meadows and we will play.
Put on your dresses
Scarlet and Gold
For summer is gone and and the days grow cold."
Fall is officially here according to the equinox. The weather is still warm and toasty during the day, but I have noticed the days growing shorter as we are greeted by the sunset sooner each night. I don't mind the early 'hello' from the sunset as its glowing fire peeks behind the mountains; besides cool mornings and nights it's the first taste of fall, and our spirits are feeling fall. The magic that each season brings is undeniable, but for me their is something extra special about fall; it's our 'book of summers' epilogue and in my opinion its greatest work.
We took to the mountains this year to celebrate fall, just the three of us. We soaked in the leaves and I let Cooper gather some to bring home. Boone was just along for the ride, but he thought the leaves tasted good. We even found a dead deer, yuck... but that's a whole different story. I couldn't believe how fast the leaves are changing and how many leaves already scatter the ground, its quite a sight to see.
I hope you get a chance to enjoy the change in season, or if you are still mourning the ending of summer you better get all your last minute sun in, because fall is right on our doorstep and I'm welcoming it right on in...Please Disturb.
