Over the past couple of months I have had the opportunity to work with some of the most amazing and talented people. I feel like I know these people on screen through social media, but it was so fun to get to meet them "off screen" the real them and the Kortni's Munch for Kortni Jeane was the perfect place. We had a little meet and greet, the most amazing dinner provided by Marleys Sliders and don't even get me started on the building...I mean when can I move in?! Talk about a dream.
Before I left for the night I will admit I was nervous! I did not know anyone that was going to be there and my invite was for plus one only. I honestly contemplated going because I wasn't sure if I was "good enough" to be there. What was I really in this social media world? I honestly still don't know. I mean I like showing off cute tiny baby clothes, sharing our adventures in the Instagram world, and I randomly blog. I mean not knowing what your market is is quite an intimidating thing when you are going to be surrounded by women who know exactly what their specialty is. So before I went I tried to determine what I was and how I wanted to introduce myself and still came up with nothing. Then that dreaded moment came about when someone me what I did and that darn word vomit just spewed out and I answered with "I am a mom and I focus on "us" (my family)." Honestly I don't think that anything else defines me more. I don't have a specific specialty; I don't focus on only fitness, fashion, photography, kids, or the outdoors, although I adore people who know their exact goals and go for it, but I like to think that I just have a little bit of everything to add and share to this world, or may it's just that I am indecisive ;) Either way after tonight I am glad that I took the plunge and went, and that I had the opportunity to meet some amazing ladies who accepted me for exactly that.
