It's that time of year again! RASPBERRY TIME!! The boys and I have been waiting for so long for this day. I had been stalking on of our favorite local patch to see when they would open because we randomly stumbled upon it last year and had a blast and knew that we had to return this year. Honestly I think it will be one of our family traditions because we all love it so much-Jared included. Although, I was worried we wouldn't make it this year since Grizz is such a tiny guy but I just strapped him to me and away we went searching of the yummiest and prettiest berries. Jared and I would pick and fill up the boys' tins and they would each them or feed them to the deer faster than we could pick them. I honestly don't know how they didn't get sick, they ate SO many.
Our poor little Boone got stung by a wasp (I actually caught it on video) right next to his eye, but after a few cuddles from Jared and kisses from me he was just left with a really swollen eye; He really is a trooper. After that I was just so paranoid that Grizz's legs sticking out from the wrap would get stung, luckily no harm came to him and he slept the ENTIRE time, so even though technically it was his first time raspberry picking I don't know it counts.
Most of the time we go its scorching hot! and although it's fun we don't last long. This year we went on a cloudy rainy day and it was so perfect. It was a little humid among the plants but it was much better than sweating our tushes off, and we actually got to stay and enjoy.
We ended up leaving the patch with very full bellies and only two tiny bags filled because we couldn't keep our paws out of our buckets. Don't worry we made sure to pay them extra for that ones we consumed! Cooper is already asking to go back again! Until next year cutest patch around!
