You know those days that are just really, really good days? Well today was one of them! That doesn't mean that there weren't tears from Boone because I chose the wrong blue cup even though they look the EXACT same and lets not even start talking about the wrestling matches it takes to put his clothes on. Or fussiness from Grizz because I wasn't holding him or holding him the right way (see pics below) and arguments with Cooper; he has finally hit the threenager stage, which I really can't complain about because he's five so I withheld it for two extra years...he must be a late bloomer. It was just one of those days that you felt that nothing could stop you from being happy-you feel like you could burst from all the good LIFE!
AnWe were already having a good day because my sister called and asked if she could pick up Cooper from school and take him to lunch; I should add that Cooper goes to school in the same town she lives in, he doesn't go to school in our town. She offered to come get his carseat but told her I had errands to run over that way....jokes on her all my errands were done in my own town...Anyway I told her this so that I could I drive over and spy on her picking Cooper up- I'm such a freaking creeper! Cooper had no idea she was picking him up so I didn't want to miss his reaction plus he didn't have to ride the bus (his worst thing ever) so I knew that would add to the excitement! When he saw her he went running over with a smile spread from ear to ear. There was even a hug-spin, something you'd see in a movie, and it just made my day. It's a happy thing to see your babies getting so much love; witnessing that just added like 100 points to a happy day!
When Cooper and my sister returned back from their date I was getting the boys ready to head up to the lake. My sister, who is always up for an adventure, decided to join! We heading up the canyon and were greeted with the most beautiful fall colors... my most favorite of colors. It was such an amazing site to see I literally kept saying "how is this even real?" You'd think that after seeing it year after year it wouldn't be seem so unreal but it never ceases to amaze me. We got lucky because the air was so calm that the water looked like glass and the overcast day made the trees reflect off the water just perfectly. It was a sight that I just could not believe was happening...we got extremely lucky with our timing. By the time we left the sun was peaking out, and we got to see the place in a whole new light with the sun shining on the trees making the colors even brighter. It really made me realize how quickly things can change in a few seconds. How things can be seen differently with only a few changes. It honestly made me feel so much more grateful for this life that I have but also helped me realize that with only a few changes I can make it that much better. So here's to a new seasons and a few changes for the better.
